| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this research project initiative is to stop environmental contamination and reduce energy usage by recycling different kinds of lubricating oils utilized in vehicles and industrial operations in Bangladesh through vacuum distillation. Bangladesh's lubricants oil market size was approximately 201.10 million liters in 2024 and is estimated to reach 292.30 million liters by 2029, growing at a CAGR Of 7.76% from 2024-2029. Bangladesh is completely dependent on imported lubricating Oil. Most Of Bangladesh imports its lubricating oil from various countries including India, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. According to Bangladesh's import data, in the 12 months from March 2023 to February 2024, 555 foreign exporters supplied 4,794 shipments of lubricating oil to 461 Bangladeshi buyers, a grmsth rate of compared to the previous twelve months. In February 2024 alone. 334 shipments imported lubricating oil, a growth rate of 48% year-on-year compared to February 2023 and a consecutive growth rate Of 4% per month since January 2024, Growing at a CAGR of 5.4% from 2022 to 2027, the global fuel oil market size is expected to reach USS 96.4 billion by 2027, It is sad and disappointing that Bangladesh has not yet properly managed abandoned waste lubricating Oil. As a result, used waste Oil is being accidentally or intentionally released directly into the environment like rivers, which hurts the environment by endangering drinking water and the lives of aquatic animals. It is estimated that the annual market size of lubricating oil consumption in Bangladesh will be approximately 216.71 million liters in 2025 and increase to 314,89 million liters by 2030, The main objective of this research project is to properly manage and transform abandoned waste lubricating Oil into a wealth resource by purifying it through vacuum distillation. Reduce dependence on imported lubricating Oil and protect the environment by repurposing used lubricating Oil to make it reusable This research project experimentally refines "aste mono-grade motor oil SAE Grade 50, Automotive Gear Oil 90, and Industrial Oil ISO VG 68 for reuse through compound extraction and distillation methods. Distillation technology is used In 85% of "aste oil purification due to its high recovery rate, low cost, energy saving, and environmental friendliness. Lubricating oil acts as a lubricant, corrosion inhibitor, cooling agent, friction reducer, and cleaning agent and removes contaminants from the engine and machinery. In this research study, we collected used lubricating oil from engine workshops named MIS. Best Suppliers and tested it in a standard laboratory German based lubricating oil & grease manufacturer named Lubricants Asia Ltd. (Formally Fuchs Lubricants Bangladesh Ltd.), Chittagong. Different properties analysis Of refined Oil from waste Oil and fresh lubricating Oil, such as cloud and pour point, flash point, specific gravity, ash content, viscosity, moisture ratio and acid value showed the best results, which are almost as good as near about same as fresh The research project's key drawback is the high initial outlay of funds. The financial analysis yields the following results: net present value = BDT 3,425.05 lakh, payback duration = 5 years 6 months, discounted payback period = 6 years 4 months, and IRR = 23%. It was evident from the aforementioned figures that the project is regarded as ecologically friendly, profitable, and financially feasible, | en_US |
